Frequently asked, directly answered

The questions you'd ask if we were across the table.

Skipping the marketing-speak version. These are the answers we give in real conversations with contractors, written down so you can read them on your own time.

Pricing and contract

Why month-to-month if you're so confident?

Because the relationship works when we earn the next month every month. The contractor industry has been burned hard by multi-year lock-ins from Scorpion, BlueCorona, and the like. Five-figure buyout clauses, results that dried up at month six, no leverage to leave.

Month-to-month is the only honest answer to that pattern. Our confidence is in the work, not in a contract clause that traps you if the work doesn't perform. If we let you down, you should be able to leave. If we don't, you'll stay because the math works, not because the contract makes you.

Why $497? Is that suspiciously cheap?

It's a deliberate wedge tier. Most contractors evaluating us have been quoted $1,500 to $5,000 / month by generalist agencies. $497 says: try the site + SEO + GBP work for a month, see whether we deliver, then decide if you want to step up to the CRM.

The math works at $497 because we run niche-narrow on a shared framework. Every improvement we ship to one site lands on all of them. We don't have the office, account manager pool, or SDR team that forces a $5k floor. The pricing reflects the operation, not a market position.

What it isn't: a teaser rate that jumps after month three. $497 is $497 indefinitely if that's the tier you stay on.

Why no performance guarantee?

Because local SEO and lead flow depend on factors outside our control: your service area's competitiveness, your existing GBP history, your install quality, your phone-answering speed, your closing rate.

Agencies that offer "guaranteed top-3 in 90 days" either (a) cherry-pick low-competition markets to take the risk in, or (b) define "results" so narrowly that the guarantee is meaningless. Both patterns burn the contractor in the end.

The honest substitute for a guarantee is the month-to-month contract. If we underperform, you leave. That's a stronger commitment than a paper guarantee with weasel-words.

Is there a setup fee?

No. Zero setup fee on all three tiers. We absorb the build cost because the framework is shared across every tenant, so the marginal cost of bringing you on is lower than it looks. Most agencies charge $2k to $10k setup because their site builds are custom from scratch and they have to recover the cost up front.

Can I switch tiers?

Yes, at any month boundary, in either direction. Most contractors land on Operator after starting at Foundation, once the leads start flowing and the CRM leverage becomes obvious. A few start at Growth on day one because their install capacity is already absorbed by organic and they want paid traffic on top.

Downgrades work the same way. If you scale ads to a point where you don't need our active management, drop to Operator and save $1,000 / month.

Niche, scope, and competitive overlap

Why only garage floor coatings? Why not all flooring?

Because garage floor coatings have a buying journey that's distinct from hardwood, LVP, tile, or carpet. Different homeowner concerns (hot tire pickup, moisture testing, peeling fear). Different price expectations ($1,500 to $8,000 vs. $5k to $25k whole-home flooring). Different decision timeline (2-8 weeks vs. months). Different search behavior.

A generalist flooring agency has to write copy and SEO strategy that works across all those categories. The compromise dilutes everything. We trade breadth for depth. Five years from now we'll know more about coatings marketing than any generalist agency could afford to learn.

What if you take a competitor in my city?

We won't. One coatings contractor per metro is a hard rule, not a marketing line. The first contractor in a metro claims it, full stop. We'd rather pass on revenue than burn the trust of the contractor already on the system.

We'll tell you on the first call whether your metro is open or claimed. If it's claimed and you want to be on the waitlist for if/when the current contractor leaves, we'll add you and notify you if it opens up.

Do you have other coatings clients I can talk to?

We are intentionally early. The pilot contractors who signed on first did so understanding that the system was being proven on their accounts. If you want to talk to them directly, we'll ask their permission and connect you.

If you'd rather not be that early, the honest answer is we are not the right fit yet. Come back in six months when there's a longer reference list. We'll still be here.

What if I do basement coatings, patios, shop floors, not just garages?

Still a fit. The framework supports any concrete-coatings service. Garage floor is the leading edge of homeowner search demand, but basement, patio, pool deck, and commercial shop floor pages all get the same treatment.

What we don't do is flooring outside the coatings category. If hardwood is 50% of your revenue, we are the wrong agency.

What happens if you leave

Do I own the website?

You own your domain. The site is built on our shared coatings framework. If you cancel, we'll export a static HTML+CSS snapshot of your site that you can host anywhere. You won't be hostage to a proprietary CMS.

The framework itself stays with us because we maintain it across every tenant. But your content, your photos, your reviews, your domain, and the static export of your site are all yours, at any time, without us pulling some lever to release them.

Do I keep my domain?

Yes. Your domain is registered in your name at your registrar, not ours. We never hold it. If you cancel, the domain is already in your account. Just point the DNS at your new host.

If you don't have a domain yet, we'll register one for you in your name on day one. Same outcome.

Do I keep my lead data?

Yes, every record. CSV export through GoHighLevel is a 60-minute task. Every contact, every form fill, every call log, every review request, every email and SMS thread. You walk with the entire customer database when you leave.

This is not optional or grudging. Lead data is yours, full stop. We hold it for you while you're on the system. The day you leave, you take it.

What about Google Business Profile?

Always under your Google account. We are an additional manager. You are the primary owner. We never put GBP in our name because that's how agencies hold contractors hostage. If you leave, just remove us as a manager and you keep the listing, the reviews, and the photos.

What about my reviews?

Reviews are on Google, not on our platform. They're attached to your GBP, which is in your name. When you leave, the reviews stay where they are. We didn't generate them by paying for fake ones; your customers wrote them after real jobs. They follow your business, not us.

Process and timing

How fast can you launch?

Site live in 5 to 7 business days after kickoff. Kickoff happens within 3 to 5 business days after signing. So from signed agreement to live site, you're looking at 8 to 12 business days. GBP optimization and citations roll in parallel to the site build.

If you have an existing site, we don't take it down. We build the new one on a staging URL, run validation, then flip DNS in a coordinated 5-minute window when you're ready.

When will I see results?

Day 30: indexed, audited, GBP optimized end-to-end, citations cleaned, movement in long-tail keywords. Day 60: first Map Pack inclusions, first lead flow, review velocity visibly improved. Day 90: top-3 Map Pack for at least one or two primary city + service combos, steady lead flow.

Top-3 across every city, every service: 6 to 9 months. Anyone telling you 90 days for full dominance does not understand local SEO.

How much of my time will this take per month?

Minimum 45 minutes per month: a standing strategy call where we review what's working, what isn't, and what's coming next. Optional time spent: texting us new job photos as you finish them (we upload + tag for GBP).

If you want to be more hands-on (review every GBP post before it goes live, approve every email sequence, etc.), we'll calibrate the cadence to whatever feels right for you. Default is light-touch because most contractors are running jobs, not approving content.

Who do I actually work with?

The founder. Every strategy call, every email thread, every text message. There is no SDR pool, no account manager queue, no support ticket routing. We took on this model so you'd never get the "let me check with my team and circle back" answer to a question that needs an answer right now.

The trade-off is we can't take on dozens of new contractors per month. We can take 3. That's the math.

Technical and integrations

I already use a CRM I love. Can I keep it?

You can, on the Foundation tier. We won't make you switch. But the leverage on the $1,497 Operator tier and up is the GHL CRM + automation we set up, so if you have a CRM you love, you're paying for capabilities you're not using.

If you tell us which CRM you use, we can usually wire your contact form to push leads into your existing system. Hubspot, Pipedrive, Jobber, JobTread are all doable. The trade-off is no SMS auto-reply, no missed-call text-back, and no pipeline automation since those live in GHL.

What if I already have a website I like?

Then we have an honest conversation about whether the site is doing what it needs to do. Most existing coatings sites have at least one of: slow page speed (mobile LCP over 4 seconds), missing schema markup, no service-by-city pages, no real photo gallery, weak CTAs.

If your site is genuinely good, we can run the SEO + GBP + reviews tier without rebuilding it. The framework benefits (free upgrades, performance optimizations) wouldn't apply, but the local SEO work is independent of where the site lives.

Do I need to switch hosting providers?

If we build the site, we host it on our infrastructure (DigitalOcean App Platform). It's included in the monthly fee. No separate hosting bill.

If you keep your existing site, no changes to your hosting.

What about HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, SMS A2P 10DLC?

SMS A2P 10DLC registration is required for the CRM auto-reply functionality on the Operator and Growth tiers. We handle the registration with your business EIN, name, and contact info. Typical approval window: 2 to 4 weeks.

CCPA + GDPR compliance is baked into the site (consent banners, privacy policy, data export tooling). We aren't HIPAA, because coatings isn't a regulated industry.

Still have a question

Ask it directly. We'll answer the same day.

If a question isn't on this page, it's because we haven't been asked it yet. Send it through. We'll either answer it directly or add it here for the next contractor.

Same business day reply.
